As we reach the midpoint of 2025, many of you may be noticing a common theme across industries: pricing volatility. From tariffs and global uncertainty to shipping delays and supply chain disruptions, the cost of doing business is changing—and promotional products are no exception.
At The Studio Mini, I’ve been closely monitoring these trends and adjusting our strategy to continue delivering exceptional value to our clients.
What’s Changing—and Why It Matters
Across the board, product and shipping costs are rising. Tariff changes have added pressure on certain imports, and international shipping rates continue to fluctuate. Unfortunately, this is affecting everything from basic giveaways to custom-branded merchandise.
But here’s the good news: thanks to long-standing relationships with both U.S.-based suppliers and trusted overseas factories, I’m better positioned than ever to help you navigate these changes.
Made in the USA: More Options, More Opportunities
Domestic manufacturers have been steadily expanding their product lines, and I’ve been sourcing more U.S.-made options than ever before. This is a major win for clients who value quicker turnaround times and the reliability of homegrown production. Supporting these suppliers also helps protect your timeline and insulate your orders from overseas shipping risks.
Overseas Partnerships Still Matter
While it’s true that some international costs have gone up, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the flexibility shown by many of my overseas partners. Because of the strong, direct factory relationships I’ve built over the years, I’ve been able to negotiate pricing and pass those savings on to you when possible. Not everyone can say that—and it’s a reminder that experience and supplier trust matter now more than ever.
A Word of Caution: Shipping Delays and Planning Ahead
As we move into the second half of the year (and closer to the busiest season for gifting), please plan ahead. Shipping timelines are tightening again. Placing your orders early gives us time to get creative, secure the best products, and avoid costly rush charges or last-minute substitutions.
Intentional Gifting Is the New Trend
Let’s be honest: no one wants another meaningless plastic trinket with no purpose.
This year, I encourage you to shift from bulk giveaways to thoughtful, intentional gifting. Whether it’s employee appreciation, client retention, or student recognition, choose items that resonate, get used, and leave a lasting impression.
It’s not about spending more—it’s about choosing better. That’s where The Studio Mini shines: meaningful, brand-aligned merchandise that makes people feel seen and valued.
Let’s Make the Second Half Count
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished so far in 2025, and I’m excited for what’s ahead. The Studio Mini is here to help you navigate the changing landscape and create branded products that feel fresh, thoughtful, and memorable.
Let’s talk about your next project—I’m ready when you are.
